Edward J. Williams

Edward J. Williams serves as a Senior Advisor for NexGen Capital Partners, LLC.
Experience
Mr. Williams has more than 40 years of banking experience with Harris Bank, N.A. (Harris) in Chicago, Illinois. In 2003, he retired as Executive Vice President, Community Affairs for Harris. In his most recent role, he was responsible for overseeing the bank’s community development activities. Mr. Williams was a member of the Bank’s Management Committee and served as President of the Harris Bank Foundation and Community Reinvestment Act Officer for Harris from 1977 through 2003.
In 1980, he was elected Senior Vice President and Group Executive, Retail Banking and then Department Executive, Community Affairs in 1991. Previously, Mr. Williams held a succession of posts in the Retail and Commercial Banking Departments, starting as a teller in 1964.
Mr. Williams was appointed to the Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council ending his three-year term in 1988 as vice chairman. Other current or former board positions include The Chicago Capital Fund, Chicago Low Income Housing Trust Fund, Chicago Council on Urban Affairs and Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago.
Education
Mr. Williams attended Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia and received his BS degree in business administration from Roosevelt University.
Civic Involvement
Mr. Williams has won numerous awards and has been routinely recognized for his service and efforts surrounding community development in and around the Chicago area including a resolution on February 11, 2004, recognizing his distinguished career in community service which was read, adopted and presented by Mayor Daley and the City Council of Chicago.
All members of the Council of Senior Advisors serve pursuant to a senior advisor agreement with NexGen Capital Partners, LLC and do not have any decision making or executive authority or any fiduciary duties to the Company or any of its affiliates.
