Responsibilities

Gerard J. Buccino serves as a Senior Advisor for NexGen Capital Partners, LLC.

Experience

Mr. Buccino has more than 25 years of business experience including more than 17 years in community banking and six years in accounting.  Currently, he serves as a Senior Vice President and Director of Buccino & Associates, Inc., a leader in the turnaround consulting industry.

Previously, Mr. Buccino served MAF Bancorp, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Mid America Bank, an $11 billion bank, from 1990 through 2007, in various capacities from Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller to Executive Vice President, Risk Management.  As the senior financial and accounting executive for the bank, his management responsibilities included, but were not limited to, (i) the balance sheet, including execution of investment and funding activities, (ii) monthly ALCO process and reporting, including projected earnings and balance sheet portfolios based on business unit plans and interest rates, (iii) regulatory interest-rate risk levels and (iv) a $2.0 billion investment portfolio as Chief Investment Officer.  Other duties included designing the monitoring platform as well as the reporting capabilities for investment the portfolio related to credit, duration and convexity and execution of all trades.

Mr. Buccino began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick in 1984 and served as a senior manager in the investment services and financial institutions practice groups until 1990.  Clients included financial institutions ranging from $40 million to $1.5 billion in total assets, a $60 billion investment adviser and commodity brokers ranging from $7 million to $500 million in total assets.

Education

Mr. Buccino received a BS degree in accounting from Marquette University and an MBA degree, with highest honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Certifications

Mr. Buccino is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.

All members of the Council of Senior Advisors serve pursuant to a senior advisor agreement with NexGen Capital Partners, LLC and do not have any decision making or executive authority or any fiduciary duties to the Company or any of its affiliates.
