Case Study: Risk Assessment for a Multinational Corporation
Situation: Approached by a multinational corporation with 110 offices located in 60 countries around the world to develop a process and conduct a risk assessment of their global operation.
Approach: Called upon extensive experience in audit, risk management, finance and operations to develop a comprehensive inventory of risks and an easy-to-use template measuring major and minor risks based on impact and likelihood. The template was designed to be completed by management remotely and reviewed in person or by phone. The results were compiled and presented to management based on regional and functional breakouts and lines of business.
Result: Enabled the company to efficiently focus scarce resources on the risks which presented the most significant impact on their ability to achieve business objectives.
